Due to a full schedule, there are times when I'm not able to take new clients. If you call NPCS and find I'm unable to see you for a first time appointment, you have two options.
First, you can get an alternative referral from your doctor, insurance company/EAP, web search, or family/friend. Or second, you can be added to the waiting list at NPCS.
The only way to be added to the waiting list is by registering online. I don't return calls or take information over the phone. The estimated length of time you'll need to wait will be stated on the out-going message, even if it's unknown. Typically, late afternoon or evening appointments take longer to get scheduled.
To register for the waiting list, simply complete the Online Registration form, check 'The Waiting List' box, and enter the information.
Once you've registered, you'll receive a confirmation email. Then, when an appointment becomes available you'll be contacted in the following order: first, inactive, returning clients who haven't been seen for 6 months or longer, second, the date in which you register, and third, according to the days and/or times you're available to come for regular appointments.
Once you're contacted by phone, you'll have three days to secure a first time appointment.
If you register for the waiting list and then find a different counselor or no longer needs services, I kindly request that you also cancel your online registration. Simply select 'Cancel Online Registration' and complete the form.
